Pick up from Ayers Rock Airport - we can pick up from any flight between 11.30am - 13.40pm (Sydney Jetstar, Melbourne Jetstar, Sydney Virgin and Cairns Qantas flight) Those arriving into Ayers Rock Airport on the Cairns flight in the morning can catch the free shuttle bus to Ayers Rock Resort (Outback Pioneer) for pick up at 12.00pm.
Pick up from YHA Ayers Rock (Outback Pioneer) at 12.00pm from the main reception.
Day 1: Uluru Base Walk (L,D)
You will be picked up from either the YHA Ayers Rock (Outback Pioneer) or Ayers Rock Airport (Uluru). Enjoy lunch and visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre where you can learn about the Dreamtime, before starting your Uluru Base Walk. Take in the spiritual significance of Kantju Gorge, Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave paintings before a guided Mala Walk before sunset on Uluru, where you will have dinner. Spend the night camping under the stars at the Ayers Rock Camp Ground in swags with hot showers and toilets. Tents are available.
Day 2: Uluru Sunrise & Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) (B)
Up early for Sunrise at the Uluru/Kata Tjuta viewing area before heading to the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. Your guide will explain bush tucker and rock formations along the hike.
All meals as stated, transport, air conditioned comfortable 21 seat bus, fun & experienced tour guide, swags and camping equipment. Sleeping bags can be hired for $20 each (ours are -10 deg suitable for winter May-Sept)

You can be dropped off at 10:45am at the Uluru (Ayers Rock Airport) if you have a flight out on day two. You can also be dropped off at the town of Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort) at 10:45am if you want to spend another night at Ayers Rock.
Free Airport Shuttles operate every hour from the YHA Ayers Rock (Outback Pioneer) to the Ayers Rock Airport (Uluru) if you wish to spend the night and fly out of Ayers Rock on Day 3.
You will need to bring 3 litres of water each (x2 bottles of 1.5l). You can purchase this at the Cultural Centre in Ayers Rock if needed or bring empty bottles with you on the plane.
Reasonable level of fitness required
What To Bring
Bring a small pack and leave your large pack at your Hostel. Shorts, T-shirts , good shoes & a jumper for night time. Winter you can still wear shorts and a shirt during the day. However, you will need to bring warm clothes because it does get cold at night. Long pants, a good jumper, a beanie to keep your head warm and gloves are advisable. Regardless of the time of year that you are travelling you will need to bring a hat & sunscreen. Other things to bring include a towel, bathers, camera.
