Depart Darwin to arrive in Adelaide aboard the world famous 'Ghan'.
For the ultimate great train experience aboard The Ghan, travel in one of our stylish, self contained carriages. The Chairman's Carriage is the pride of Great Southern Rail's fleet. For the ultimate group or family travel experience, you can opt to travel in our Chairmans Carriage available on select departures ofThe Ghan and Indian Pacific. The Chairmans carriage comprises of four Platinum Service Cabins and a seperate lounge area. With extremely limited availability we suggest booking well in advance.
As with all Platinum Service guests, included is a range of Off Train Excursions and unique Outback Experiences as well as all-inclusive beverages and dining in the Platinum Club. It is available July to December inclusive.
Carriage contains 3 Platinum Doubles and one Platinum Twin. Cost being for eight Platinum passengers (irrespective of how many are booked)
Carriage includes accommodation for up to 8 guests.
CHAIRMANS CARRIAGE PLATINUM SERVICE exclusive service includes:
Exclusive use of this Carriage and its lounge area.
3 spacious Platinum Service Double Cabins and 1 Platinum Service Twin cabin.
By day, cabins are set up as a lounge with moveable table and 2 ottomans.
By night, in-room lounges are converted to double or twin beds.

What To Bring
Due to cabin space constraints, it is recommended guests take an ‘overnight bag’ containing all requirements for their journey with them in their cabin and check-in all other luggage. Guests are permitted to check-in a maximum 40kg luggage free of charge (2 items not exceeding 20kg each).
Note: Checked-in luggage cannot be accessed during the journey.
