Our family so enjoyed the Yellow Water Cruise at sunrise on the 23rd of April. Our guide Trevor was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and of the surrounding area. He also shared with us some insight and understanding of his peoples culture and connection with the land. A thoroughly enjoyable cruise. It is a truly beautiful place to visit. A nature lovers paradise. Highly recommend this trip.

Excellent guide. Very informative and friendly.
The best time to go on the the cruise I believe, so much cooler, more wildlife out and about and breakfast was a nice finale.
Great cruise, thanks.

What a great experience! Our guide was absolutely amazing. So enthusiastic about his job. He was incredible at sourcing out where the animals were. There wasn't much he missed. Other people on a different boat also commented on how great their guide was. We saw an amazing sunrise, plenty of wildlife with great commentary. All of this was topped off with an excellent breakfast back at the lodge.

A fanastic tour! The sunrise breakfast tour is brilliant. A bright orange sunrise splashed with purple hues with the guide playing the didgeridoo in the background while the boat meandered through the lilies and crocs is a memory I won't forget. Have heard the day cruise while cheaper dows not have such incredible wild life so my vote is this one!

We loved the Yellow River Cruise and will highly recommend it to our friends. Our only disappointment was that we didn't stay in the park near where the cruise started from. Instead we stayed at Jabiru at the Gagudui Crocodile resort 50 klms away.

This tour was my favourite experience in Kakadu. I absolutely LOVED that there was plenty of room on the boat to move around and get up to take pictures and the mist of the morning was a stunning sight. It was entirely worth the cost and I would highly recommend this tour when visiting Kakadu. Our guide was captivating, knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. Awesome experience!

NTstandby and the reservation process worked smoothly and I'd recommend it.
One suggestion for the dawn cruise - how about supplying coffee at the start? It's very cold in the morning and 90 mins til the included breakfast at the end. There's no cafe or similar at the boat dock. We did not realise the breakfast was not on the boat, but is at a separate location afterwards - was fab tho!

What set out to be and should have been a great experience on the morning of: 28/07/12 was in fact an unpleasant experience due the pilot of our boat menacing a photography enthusiast. He repeatedly provoked this tourist that had obvious expensive camera equipment by refferring to it as a bazoka, a hazard etc, etc .
If need be I would have supported this tourist in a physical or verbal stouch.

This was without doubt the most beautiful cruise i've ever experienced - I am sure that the sunset cruise would have to be the ultimate journey...Jabiru, brolga's, azure kingfishers, crocodiles, lotus flowers bursting with intense colour, jumping fish and all of this set in world heritage listed wetlands at a tiem of year when low water reveals all, yet mists gently roll on land and water-stunning

Very organised and the inclusive breakfast was really delicious! The early morning tour was very special with a beautiful sunrise and heaps of birdlife. There were plenty of crocs but the guide was great at pointing out all the other animal, plant and birdlife. Quite impressive.

We did the early tour and sunrise provided some great bird life to see. But given that most crocs remain submerged in the water until the outside temperature warms up, it is not the best time to go unless you love your bird-watching. I'd recommend mid morning when the crocs are more visible. Tour was also about one-hour longer than necessary.

I have twice been on the early morning Yellow Water Cruise and have not been disappointed. The scenic trip, the bird life and the crocs make a fantastic cruise. The tour guides did an excellent job in pointing out various birds and spending time in making sure everyone got the chance to take photos and answer questions. I would recommend this cruise to anyone considering it - so worth it!!

This cruise is a very nice thing to do in the months of late June, July and August when the birds are more visible in kakadu but our experience in May was disappointing. We travelled from Florida USA and love wildlife photography but found the viewing in Kakadu and this cruise very underwhelming . There are also a lot of couples w/very small kids which is noisy and restricts movement to get photos

This was our 30 + trip on Yellow Waters in the last 30 years and it never fails to impress, however the standard of organisation/management at Cooinda Lodge gets progressively worse. This time it was pouring with rain , the track to the jetty was flooded so Cooinda cancelled the bus which the crew then used to drive to the boat leaving the passengers to walk from the lodge in total darkness !!!!!!
