This tour was a highlight of our Darwin holiday! Garry was a cheerful and passionate guide who really knew his subject. His enthusiasm was infectious! We recommended the tour to others we met while in Darwin and encourage anyone with an interest in the largely untold story of the bombing to book in and learn about this important part of Australia's history.

We were lucky enough to take the WW11 bombing of Darwin tour on Anzac Day 2018. We arrived on a cruise ship in the Darwin Harbour, picked up by the Tour Operator Gary on time and all I can say is Wow, he is so enthusiastic and caring about the story he delivered to us as we toured around. This is a story that must NEVER stop being told. And the person to do this is Gary and his fabulous tour.

We booked private tour for 6 of us while in port from cruise ship--informative, funny and comfortable tour. Guide was very knowledgeable.

Very disappointed. The tour did not live up to expectations of the web site, eg didn't tour gun emplacements. Weid get to see them from the vehicle but expected to walk through the sand bag trenches, etc. Too much conspiracy theory and not enough facts by tour operator. Sorry we spent the time and money.

The Highlight of our time in Darwin!
Garry, our tour guide was the real deal, not only giving you all the factual information but the way he tells it and the yarns that have been passed onto him for the retelling are what makes this a wonderful, informative and entertaining experience. If you think Steve Irwin was the original Ocker Aussie - wait to you meet Gazza!

Very informative talk but not much to see...no visit to the war museum or the old oil tankers or the dock - just a lot of talk.

This is a little known story told very well by a knockabout bloke who brings out the even less known parts of this little known story. It's of particular interest for someone who like my wife had her father serve in the armed forces in Darwin during this time but I would thoroughly recommend it.

This was by far the best thing my wife & I did whilst we where in Darwin, I had no idea of heavily involved Australia and more specifically Darwin was involved during the war, if you are Australian & you can only do one thing during your stay in Darwin, you must do this tour.

I enjoyed the personal connection the tour guide had to the bombing of Darwin, especially the photos and the quirky and heroic stories.
Would have liked to have gone out to Nightcliff and other local areas to hear about what is and what was there, but I guess that would make it a full day tour.

The sign on the vehicle we travelled in was www.bombingofdarwin.com.au.Garry I believe was the name of our guide. He was nominally on Darwin time. His van was clean and modesty prepared for the journey. He was a keen and passionate supporter of his subject. His overall knowledge of the subject was commendable . His knowledge of WW2 aircaft was lacking & needed some research.Recommend.
