Absolutely brilliant on all levels. The things to improve? Not much, but informative brochures on the flora seen by the passing train; a longer journey, more stop overs, excursion options to Cooper Pedy, night stop overs, rock night overs? Stop at Tennant Creek, Adelaide River? Maybe have a regular service train then a multiple stop train service? A GPS tracking device?

We had a great time and will be waxing lyrical about the trip for some time to come. The only negative experience was the "Old Ghan" tour at Alice Springs which was primarily a road transport tour - we felt miss-lead.
