Itinerary
Day 1 Alice Springs/ Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel from busy Alice Springs to experience the magic and wonder of ancient Uluru. Make an unusual stop at an authentic outback camel farm. For those that are keen, there's the option to go for a short ride on one of these 'ships of the desert'. Continue on to the permanent campsite at Yulara for a tasty lunch before embarking on an afternoon Uluru tour. Join a passionate local guide and traverse the perimeter, including several ancient caves. Marvel at the sheer size and depth of colour that makes Uluru such an impressive sight. While sipping a cheeky glass of bubbly, watch the rock's chameleon hues change against the backdrop of a blazing Red Centre sunset.
Day 2 Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)/ Kings Canyon
Experience another memorable vista as day breaks over the rolling domes of Kata Tjuta. Set off on an 8km hike through the spectacular Valley of the Winds, home to the mythical corkwood-tree women. En route to Kings Creek Station, travel through the rolling red dunes that are the hallmark of Central Australia and where a host of optional activities await. Feast on a traditional camp oven dinner, straight from the coals of the fire, and discover constellations in the clear desert sky. Fall asleep to the sounds of the Outback.
Day 3 Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon)/ Alice Springs
Within the imposing Kings Canyon, discover the Lost City and the Garden of Eden on a 7km hike. Admire the towering walls, crevices and plateaus of Watarrka. The camera opportunities are endless in Kings Canyon, so after loading up the memory card, take time for a dip in one of the tranquil rock pools. Return to Kings Creek Station for a bite to eat before making the journey back to the remote centre of Alice Springs. A tender Kangaroo Steak and a glass of cold beer might just be the perfect way to end this unforgettable outback tour.
Inclusions
Pick up from Alice Springs accommodation. All meals from lunch on day 1 to lunch on day 3, all transportation, services of a knowledgeable and friendly guide, accom as specified (twin share), National Park Entrance Fees & all camping equipment (incl sleeping bag, sleep sheet, pillow & towel)

Items of a personal nature, insurance, alcohol, souvenirs, items not listed above. We reserves the right to alter tours, vehicles and itineraries when necessary and without notice.
$100 single supplement applies for exclusive use of tent. No single supplement applies if you are happy to share with one other person of the same sex.

What To Bring
Luggage is limited to a small soft bag and a day pack.
We suggest: shorts and t-shirts for daytime, lightweight long pants and long sleeved shirts for evenings, maybe a light sweater for cool evenings, hat, sunblock, comfortable walking shoes, swimming costume and towel, insect repellent, flash light, water bottle, extra film and all necessary personal items and medications. Please store large luggage and valuables in Alice Springs accommodation.

The tour is very well run (eg. they say they'll pick you up at 6am and they arrive on the dot), the food is great, and the bus and camps are comfortable. However, the pace of the activities can be a bit rushed and the second day activity (Valley of the Winds walk) is not suitable for people of low fitness/agility. Intrepid's 'attitude' is more hands-off than other tours, leading not facilitating.

The Connections experience was fantastic. Just the right amount of time and I felt well looked after. Tony, the driver and tour leader, was very reliable and responsible and provided a good range of experiences. The food was good - healthy and fresh. The tour was also value for money. This was a really well organised trip. Saw so much in 3 days and there were some amazing walks and photo opportunities. Would recommend to anyone looking for a Red Desert experience incorporating Uluru. Lots of fun. ntstanby also gave us the most competitive quote for this trip.
