Itinerary Day 1
After pick up from your hotel or accommodation, we head towards Kakadu National Park. Our first adventure is a crocodile spotting cruise. We visit the Bark Hut Inn and continue on into Kakadu. We cross the South Alligator River before heading to Ubirr Rock where we see classic examples of Aboriginal rock art and spectacular 360 degree views. At the end of the day we travel to our campsite in Kakadu. During the evening we enjoy a hearty dinner at our camp. (L,D)
Day 2
After breakfast we visit Barramundi Gorge in the dry season and Baraolba Springs or Gunlom Falls when Barramundi Gorge is inaccessible. Both locations offer an opportunity to swim in cool clear water, walk and explore spectacular sandstone country. After lunch travel south out of the park into the historic mining area of Pine Creek. On the way we stop in at Edith Falls for a refreshing swim. We finish the day by travelling to our campsite at the historic Springvale Homestead. (B,L,D)
Day 3
After an early start we travel to the majestic Katherine Gorge for a choice of a two hour cruise or a canoeing adventure. The waters are clear, cool and safe for swimming. After lunch we travel back up the track towards Darwin. Arrive back in Darwin at around 7:00pm. (B,L)
Inclusions Pick up from Darwin hotel or lodge accommodation. All meals from lunch on day one to lunch on last day, all transportation, services of a knowledgeable and friendly guide, accommodation as specified (twin share), cruises as specified, all camping equipment including sleeping sheet and sleeping bag, pillow & towel
Exclusions Items of a personal nature, insurance, alcohol, souvenirs, items not listed above. We reserves the right to alter tours, vehicles and itineraries when necessary and without notice.
$100 single supplement applies for exclusive use of tent. No single supplement applies if you are happy to share with one other person of the same sex
What To Bring Luggage is limited to a small soft bag and a day pack.
We suggest: shorts and t-shirts for daytime, lightweight long pants and long sleeved shirts for evenings, maybe a light sweater for cool evenings, hat, sunblock, comfortable walking shoes, swimming costume and towel, insect repellent, flash light, water bottle, extra film and all necessary personal items and medications. Please store large luggage and valuables in Darwin accommodation.
