Itinerary
Spend a fun day with Wayoutback exploring Litchfield National Park. You will see a landscape that has been formed by water and time with abounding waterfalls, monsoon rainforest, bush walking tracks, swimming holes and amazing Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds. Enjoy a BBQ lunch with your fellow travellers and relax in this truly amazing part of 'The Territory'.

Day 1 (Lunch)
You will be collected from your Darwin accommodation at approximately 7.00 am and then our adventure begins as we travel towards Litchfield National Park. Magnetic and Cathedral Termite mounds are an amazing architectural feat containing arches, tunnels, chimneys. They are plentiful in this region and can stand as high as 6 metres. We stop to view some of these amazing insect habitats as we make our way into the park.
Once we arrive you will explore waterfalls, spring-fed streams and the rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National Park. Swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls*. Enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch within the park and discover the many rock holes and cascading waterfalls of Buley Rockhole before our early evening arrival back in Darwin.

Fantastic experience. Value for money. Well worth the bus trip. Friendly informative guide.

If you are just going for the day then I would definitely recommend this tour, our guide Andy was brilliant, very knowledgable and enthusiastic. There ended up on being 7 on our tour so I think that helped to make the day flow easier as we were not having to wait around for as many people. You need to be of good fitness, there was an elderly couple who struggled a bit with the walking.

This was a good tour but we were on a trip that had extended tourists e.g. three day overnight stay. Part of our tour was a BBQ lunch which we did not get. Make your own sandwiches were lunch but due to heat of the day and the limited faciilties in the park a BBQ lunch was not missed. Need to being own water as that supplied is not kept cool.
