Itinerary
Depart Darwin and enter Kakadu National Park. Covering some 20 000 square kilometres, Kakadu is Australia’s largest and arguably most famous national park. Kakadu’s vast wetlands and ancient escarpment are not only home to one of Australia’s largest and most diverse bird populations, but carry outstanding natural and cultural significance. Take a one way scenic flight from Jabiru to Cooinda, before joining a guided cruise along Kakadu’s most famous wetland area, Yellow Water billabong.
Keeping an eye out for the region’s abundant wildlife, including crocodiles. After lunch, take a guided tour to Nourlangie Rock to see well preserved galleries of Aboriginal rock art. On the return trip to Darwin, view giant termite mounds and stop at Window on the Wetlands for a glass of wine as you watch the changing light of day over the flood plains. (L)

Read reviews of - Kakadu, Nourlangie & Yellow Water with Scenic Flight D31+LF from other travellers:

This was an amazing day and loved the stunning scenery out at Kakadu. I strongly advise to take the flight as an option as it gives you the real picture of this stunning place. The cruise down the wetlands was excellent as was the buffet lunch that was waiting for us at the end. The only downfall is we ran out of time to get to Windows for sunset, driver had a mix up with passengers.

Thank you to APT for a fantastic trip to Kakadu in April. Our driver - tour guide, was very informative, good fun and made our tour a most enjoyable experience. Our flight over the Escarpment was a highlight, and we were most impressed with
both the Yellow River cruise and the Wetlands centre, where everyone helped my husband celebrate his birthday.

Found the tour excellent and our coach driver and guide Teena wqas excellent. It is great having an Aboriginal guide who knows what she is talking about. I found it very infoprmative, and we are looking to planning a much longer trip next year at the end of the wet. On the negative the pickup and drop off was handled badly, we went almost past our acoomodation which wasd at Knuckey Lagoon and had to endure 1 hour of going around to everyone elses acxcommodation.

Loved this air trip. To see the country from the Air made me very aware of how old my country of Australia really is, how special the 'wetlands' areas are, and generally showed me this'vastness' in all its glory - something I could not have experienced on the ground.
The captain of the plane was very informative throughout the trip and ensured passengers were getting the best from the journey.

We wish to write to your company to advise that our Tour Operator on our trip Teena was fantastic, she provided so much insight into the top end plus her humour made the long day most enjoyable, together with the scenic flight and a most helpful young pilot the day was a highlight of our Darwin Trip. We would be happy to refer this day trip to any of our friends.
