DAY 3: Tuesday or Friday
Ubirr Art Site, East Alligator River Cruise
This morning you have the option to take
a scenic flight over the Arnhem Land
escarpment (additional cost) before visiting the superb rock art site at Ubirr. You also join an Aboriginal guided cruise on the East Alligator River and take in the stunning views across the Kakadu Wetlands. Return to Darwin early evening where you’ll spend another night at the Darwin Central Hotel. (L)
DAY 4: Wednesday or Saturday
The Ghan to Katherine
Now it’s time to board The Ghan and travel South to Katherine past lush, tropical scenery. You’ll stop there for around 4 hours giving you enough time to look around town or enjoy a spectacular Whistle Stop Tour† at Katherine Gorge. Then it’s time to hop back on board for your overnight journey to Alice Springs. (BLD

After arriving in Alice Springs in the
morning you’ll have time to look around
